STRETCHING & FLEXIBILITY​

Extensive stretching activities can prevent contractures and other unwanted secondary health issues. Physical Therapists are also trained in joint mobilization, which can be used to increase mobility at any joint.

STRENGTHENING & CONDITIONING

Comprehensive strengthening and conditioning can improve mobility and facilitate a healthier lifestyle. We help promote overall strength of upper body, lower body, spine, and core! We do not only focus on legs.

BALANCE & COORDINATION

Progressive balance exercises can serve to increase safety with mobility, especially for clients who have suffered from a stroke or GBS. This may involve various positioning techniques and balance activities, from balancing on hands & knees to walking across a balance beam.

STANDING & WALKING

Patients who have experienced a spinal cord injury almost always experience some sort of mobility loss.

NEUROMUSCULAR ELECTRICAL STIMULATION (NMES)

NMES can make muscles stronger, whether or not there is paralysis and/or atrophy. Physical Therapists are also educated in modification/progression of exercises with NMES, which can be used to improve strength with functional movements.

PHYSICAL THERAPY FITNESS

Focuses upon healing our patients through the use of exercise, rehab and individualized treatment plans rather than relying upon medication or invasive surgeries.
